Whiteside Spiral Downcut Double Flute Router Bits

Whiteside Spiral Downcut Double Flute Router Bits — Tearout-Free Cuts, Solid Carbide, USA Made

Holbren carries the full line of Whiteside solid carbide spiral downcut double flute router bits — the go-to choice when a clean, tearout-free surface on the top face of your workpiece is the top priority. Unlike upcut bits that pull chips upward, the downcut spiral pushes chips down into the cut and compresses the material against the table, producing a crisp, burnished edge on veneered plywood, laminates, melamine, and solid wood. They work exceptionally well in both handheld routers, table-mounted routers, and CNC machines.

Because chips are pushed down rather than evacuated upward, it's important to take measured passes and clear chips regularly — but the payoff is a surface finish that often requires no additional sanding on the top face. The entire collection is precision-ground from solid carbide rod at Whiteside's plant in Claremont, North Carolina. With 27 sizes in stock ranging from 1/8" to 3/4" cutting diameter and shank sizes from 1/4" to 3/4", you'll find the exact specification your project requires.
